1899 Fairbanks Special Electric Banjo
A grail for many banjo players this is a beautiful example with a highly carved neck heel, “electric” tone ring and some gorgeous inlay work (including a gryphon on the back of the peghead). A few of its inlays have gone missing in its 124 years of life but the playability is not affected at all.
